Taking the campaign to the trade fair

    2013-03-12 |

“With the campaign, it quickly became clear to us that ‘Every day is a GreenDay’ is not just a slogan but needs to be lived every day in order to effectively protect the environment.

    Hwa-Young Lee

    Hwa-Young Lee

So for an entire day we tried not to produce any waste and avoided using elevators. We also presented the GreenTech philosophy at the HARFKO trade fair. The visitors quickly adopted this global approach, participated actively in the events, gratefully used our recycling buckets, and even promised a stronger daily personal commitment to the environment.”

    Eco cube

    2013-03-03 |

“The week gave us the opportunity to arouse interest for the green philosophy among our employees. We developed the programme together: organic food, open house for customers, suppliers, and neighbouring businesses with showroom and dedication of our photovoltaic system, EC training for students of refrigeration and air-conditioning technology.

    Danielle Delmas

    Danielle Delmas

And we visited a recycling centre with the entire team to learn about optimum household waste disposal. To close out the week, we handed out selfdesigned ‘eco citizen ebm-papst’ cubes with principles for a clean world to our customers.”

    Lead by example

    2013-02-13 |

“Our slogan for the campaign in Moscow was ‘Lead by example’. So for ‘Every day is a GreenDay’ we started with ourselves. All of our 29 employees were asked to present their own ideas about how we could make the world a little greener.

    Lozana Milenova

    Lozana Milenova

Since we can only meet this challenge together we also asked our customers, schools, and authorities in our area to take part in the campaign. All of them participated in our paper-recycling activity, which rescued the equivalent of around 110 trees.”

    New ways

    2013-02-05 |

“How can green energy-saving ideas get implemented in a region where petrol and electricity cost practically nothing?

    Marco Duartes

    Marco Duartes

To be honest that really had us racking our brains. For Dubai we chose new ways using only public transport and the traditional wooden boats. We also reached an agreement with our customers to deliver only full loads when possible and to minimise shipping by air. Also, with a group of schoolchildren, we cleaned up litter on a beach. So we were successful in drawing attention to our GreenTech philosophy.”

Increased effort to use efficient products

    2013-01-17 |

“For our customers, it was very interesting to consider our products from an environmental perspective for a change. Then there were lots of discussions about EC products during visits.

    Gyorgy Halasz

    Gyorgy Halasz

The big ‘Every day is a GreenDay’ poster is still hanging in the warehouse and constantly reminding the customers of our green philosophy. In Slovenia, which has a tradition of environmental awareness, our campaign was just as well received as in Croatia. There the customers are making an increased effort to use efficient products in order to meet EU standards.”

    Planting trees

    2012-12-17 |

In order to turn the green philosophy into deeds, at first we have to enhance the awareness of it among our employees and the society they live in.

    Rathinam Chandramohan

    Rathinam Chandramohan

As a powerful symbol for that, all of our employees were given a little teak tree to plant at home. It should remind them of GreenTech every day.

“‘Every Day is a GreenDay’ affects all of our bodies, minds and souls. As a kick-off for our events, many of our employees took part in a public bike race. In doing so, we collected donations for the organisation ‘Engineers Without Borders’.

What impressed me most, though, were the events in the office: We got tips and devices to save energy – for at home, too – picked up trash in parks, planted trees and enjoyed regional specialities. I am now looking forward to progress in 2013!”

As an employee in the Finance Department, it was very interesting for me personally to learn more about our company’s products and technology through our sales director’s presentation. Of course, winning our ‘green desk’ competition helped brighten up my day. I had removed unnecessary paper from my desk and decorated it with plants to win.
