• New lamps for warehouses

    Old vs. New

    2016-05-12 |

For ebm-papst Belarus, this year’s GreenDay is all about renewal. Therefore, the ebm-papst subsidiary in Belarus has planned to do their bit by replacing all outdated and highly energy consuming  halogen lamps in their warehouses with new and highly energy efficient LED lamps. This will drastically lower their energy consumption and therefore help to minimize ebm-papst’s “carbon footprint”.

  • Heat recovery

Fresh air thanks to heat recovery

    2014-06-12 |

In August, ebm-papst Belarus will finally have their new air-conditioning system which has a heat recovery unit as well. Sales manager Aliaksei Vinnik is looking forward to it:

“Such a heat recovery system makes the air-conditioning system a lot more efficient, both in winter and in summer. The heat generated during operation is used as additional energy source. This makes for 96 percent of the energy needed for the air-conditioning system. But the heat recovery unit will not only keep our energy bill down, it also improves the quality of the indoor climate. The system prevents the air from losing humidity too quickly, and so our staff will be able to enjoy a breath of fresh air even when the windows are closed. Incidentally, we bought the system from our customer Samsvyazstroy. This specific unit has windows made of organic glass. This allows us to demonstrate to our customers how our fans work and how much pollution gets caught in the air filters.”

  • GreenTech Seminar

    Green seminar

2013-06-18 | In co-operation with our customer Agromaster, we organised a “green” seminar focusing on environmental protection and energy-saving devices. Welcoming representatives from various companies, we were especially pleased to see Nistuk Vladimir Petrovich, Director of the Society for Renewable Energies, taking part in our seminar.

Agromaster is a very important customer for us here in Belarus: It retrofitted 58 vegetable markets with a total of 1,176 EC fans. Compared to the AC fans used before, this retrofit brought about a 2.5-fold reduction in energy consumption. This translates into a saving in CO2 emissions of no less than 672.2 tons.*

Such a commitment simply had to be honoured, and so we awarded Agromaster the strategic partner status.

*The average energy saving was about 975.000 kWh. The CO2 emission factor in Belarus is 0.69. Source: Greenbelarus

  • Review 2012

It is important to start with ourselves

2012-05-14 | “Every day is a GreenDay helps us present our environmental and innovative products on the Belarusian market. On the other hand, we are also able to anchor this conviction deeply in the awareness of our employees. That shows them the way to make their contribution to preserving our planet.

We try to boost efficiency and environmental performance by optimising work processes and saving energy in our own ‘household.’ For if we want to preserve our environment worldwide, it is important to start with ourselves. Therefore we are naturally very happy that our Belarusian customers have been taken with this philosophy and are making the energy-saving solutions of ebm-papst the foundation for their products.”
